A REFLECTION OF SURAT AL FATIHA

It’s likely to be revealed in Mecca as there’s a reference to it in surat Al Hijr:” و لقد ءاتيناك سبعًا من المثاني و القرآن العظيم” ” We granted you seven of the oft repeated verses and the holy Quran.

It has a special nature that differentiates it from the other suar. It isn’t a legislative or a faith-related one rather it’s a gift from Allah to his servants to teach them how to seek refuge, start their works and appreciate the attributes of Allah who is the only one worthy worship and so the only to whom we ask guidance.

So, it’s called the opening of suar, the mother of the book and the seven oft-repeated verses. It equals two-thirds of the whole Quran in virtue. Reciting it in praying is compulsory.

Now, let’s watch the presentation of this issue that entails the verses( ayat) of the surah in detail and an exercise on it.

The Prophet Entered Medina

THE PROPHET TOLD THEM TO LET HIS SHE-CAMEL GO HER WAY AS SHE WAS GUIDED BY ALLAH

With the welcome of Al Ansar, the supporter of Medina, the Prophet entered Medina. They vied to give shelter to him trying to take hold of the halters of his she-camel. Then, the prophet asked them to let her go her way as she is guided by Allah. At first, she knelt at a spot where the prophet built his own mosque. Then, she knelt at the house of Abu Ayub Al Ansary who had the honor to give shelter to the prophet. If I tried to focus on the generosity of Abu Ayub I would fail. Firstly, he asked the prophet to stay upward as he felt shame to sleep up to the prophet but the prophet assured him that it was best for him to stay down to be easy for him to meet his visitors. Afterward, Abu Ayub felt ashamed and couldn’t sleep well, and even when some water split from the vessel he and his wife hurried to dry it with their own cover fearing it would reach the prophet and hurt him. So, after their persistence, the prophet settled upwards. Al Ansar vied to show generosity to him as at least four trays of food were given to him.

Then, he asked for written conduct for future security and in this conduct, the prophet promised to give him the two bracelets of the Khosrau.
